💖 Shining Bright at the Undocumented Tales Season 4 Premiere

Hey there, my loves! This past weekend I had the honor of attending the premiere of “Undocumented Tales” Season 4, a groundbreaking YouTube web series that has been pushing boundaries and shedding light on some of the most important, yet often underrepresented, stories in our society. The event was held at USC’s Bovard Auditorium in Los Angeles. 

 As a fashion blogger with a growing following, I often find myself in awe-inspiring situations, but this one was truly special. I had the privilege of attending the premiere as the host of the Q&A portion of the show, and it was an experience I will cherish forever. Like so many folx out there, I have been following the show from season one, first as a fan, then as a consultant in season 3, and finally as the Q&A host in its final season. It has not only been a rollercoaster but also a truly wonderful experience to follow Fernando’s journey in the show. 

For folx who have not heard of the show before, “Undocumented Tales” delves into the life of Fernando, an undocumented queer immigrant from Mexico living in the United States. His journey is one that resonates with so many in the immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities, yet it’s a story we rarely see portrayed in mainstream media. This series provides a vital online platform that weaves together the complexities of immigration status, homophobia/transphobia, class, and race, painting a raw and unfiltered picture of what it means to be both Undocumented and Queer in the United States. 

One of the highlights of this premiere was the opportunity to engage in a meaningful Q&A session with the director, writer, and star of the show, Armando Ibañez. Armando’s dedication to bringing these stories to life is truly commendable, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been a part of this event that seeks to amplify the voices of those often unheard. The Q&A also included a short chat with the crew who shared their experience working behind the scenes. Armando ever so dedicated to his work also highlighted the cast and their amazing contributions to their roles on the show. 

Now, let’s talk fashion and beauty! For this special evening, I had the pleasure of wearing a stunning red outfit designed and custom-made by the incredibly talented House Oscura. My red and sparkly ensemble perfectly complemented the glamorous theme of the event and made me feel like a million bucks. I received so many compliments from folx! The love I received for my outfit was truly a testament to the amazing detail and love that House Oscura puts into their work. I am looking forward to continuing and growing my relationship with these truly talented designers. 

And speaking of feeling fabulous, my makeup was flawlessly executed by the incredibly talented makeup artist Enrique Llamas (you can learn more about them on Instagram). He transformed my look into a dazzling masterpiece, with a focus on making my eye makeup sparkly and red, perfectly in line with my outfit. Enrique is such a kind, patient, and talented makeup artist and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them twice now! I am looking forward to creating more looks and making more memories using his makeup services in the future. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the organizers of this event, Somos Loud, for celebrating creativity and showcasing stories like Fernando’s. The cast and crew of “Undocumented Tales” also deserve immense recognition for their dedication in bringing these powerful narratives to life. 

The premiere was an unforgettable evening filled with powerful storytelling, glamour, and a strong sense of community. It reminded me of the importance of using our platforms to highlight underrepresented voices and stories that deserve to be heard. I’m immensely grateful to have been a part of this event and look forward to being a part of more events centered on celebrating stories that inspire, uplift, and empower our communities.
